So I have this friend. At one point in time, I genuinely considered them one of the awesomest people I had met. Even now, I won’t be unfair and deny that there are some good qualities about them, and that they’e fun. But unfortunately, as more time has passed since we became friends, I’m beginning to realise that they think they are better than the world in some way. I’m not sure what makes them think this, but everything they say gives off the general vibe that they think the world is stupid or inferior compared to them.

To people who have never been friends with such a person - you have no idea how hard it is to talk to such a person without exclaiming “Dude. Get the fuck off your high horse.”

I mean, everyone is allowed to aim for better than they have in life, but acting as if you’re a cut above everything and everybody just by the virtue of existing is not cool. Behaving as if your opinion is the only correct opinion and passive-aggressively implying all the time that other people who have different opinions/ways of living are fools, is not cool.

Ugh.
